Officially graduated!

On Feb 15, 2013, Minyoung officially received her diploma in Theater Arts major in Drama and Films from Dongguk University. It took her 9 years to complete the course due to her debut to entertainment industry in 2006. Since she started her career, Minyoung hardly had time for studies as she jumped from one project to another. It was only in 2012 when she finally decided to take a break and return back to school. During this period, Minyoung stayed away from public eye, only updating her fans with tweets or entry in her weibo account every now and then.

Minyoung also received a special recognition for her participation in promoting her school. She was given a Merit Award along with 4 other students who also made other contributions to school good image

Congratulations Minyoung! We are very proud of you.

Kim Yoon Hee/Shik (Sungkyunkwan Scandal)

Park Min Young's beautiful facial features can be hardly mistaken as a boy. Dressed in a man's hanbok, Kim Yoon Hee entered Sungkyunkwan. Everyone was somehow suspicious, but a girl disguised herself as a boy was unheard off during those time.

Minyoung's portrayal of Kim Yoon Hee and Kim Yoon Shik captivated the love of many fans. Despite average rating of the show, Sungkyunkwan Scandal was a big hit in Korea among the young viewers. The four leads were labelled the Joseon F4 or the Jalgeum Quartet and were brought to a new height of their popularity.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal rights was sold to many countries among them was Japan. Due to big success, this TV drama was re-edited and made into a movie which was shown in both Korea and Japan. The movie version highlighted the love story of Kim Yoon Hee and Lee Sun Joon. The drama had also won a bronze award in New York International Film Festival.
